Michael Sam Covers Latest Issue of Sports Illustrated [Photo]

This certainly didn’t take long.

Sports Illustrated announced Tuesday that Michael Sam would appear on the cover of its February 17th issue. Sports Illustrated introduced the cover in a tweet saying, “America is ready for Michael Sam.”

The University of Missouri player came out this week, becoming one of the nation’s first openly gay NFL prospects.
