Quite some time has passed since we last saw Lupita Nyong’o on the silver screen, but that doesn’t mean she’s sitting around twiddling her thumbs.
Aside from readying Americanah alongside Brad Pitt, Lupita is hard at work filming Star Wars: Episode VII, which is set for release later this year.
So what else does Lupita have in the works?
According to reports, Lupita is in talks to star alongside David Oyelowo in Disney’s Queen of Katwe, the true story of Ugandan chess prodigy Phiona Mutesi.
If everything goes accordingly, Lupita will portray Phiona’s mom Harriet Mutesi.
We’re hoping that everything works out because we’re itching to see more of Lupita, but if you’re in need of a Lupita fix now, she’s a presenter at tonight’s Golden Globe Awards.
