The newly engaged singer was spotted doing some shopping at the Bergdorf Goodman department store yesterday in NYC. She left her engagement ring at home — but when you have a permanent reminder of your love for your fiancé, who needs one?

Back in April 2013, before Kelly and manager-turned-fiancé Tim Witherspoon made their relationship public, the singer told Power 105 radio station that it was merely a friendship tattoo.

‘I’m not married. I’m not engaged. That’s me and my best friend,’ she declared to the radio host.
