The school became aware of the photo before the Jayhawks men’s basketball team played Alabama-Birmingham on Tuesday, Kansas associate athletic director for public affairs Jim Marchiony told multiple media outlets.

The four students will not return to performing until the inquiry is completed.

The image that was sent out on the Snapchat account of a female cheerleader shows three men standing next to each other wearing sweaters with the letter K. The text on the photos says, “Kkk go Trump.”

According to The Kansas City Star, Lili Gagin tweeted a message about the incident.

“I’m appalled that a snapchat was put out on my snapchat and posted to my account,” Gagin tweeted. “I would never (have) done that & I apologize that it happened.”

They need to go ahead and make that suspension permanent.
