Halle Berry and Olivier Martinez got married!
The couple tied the knot on Saturday, July 13, at Chateau des Conde in Vallery, France.
The bride and groom first exchanged vows in a civil ceremony performed by a local mayor at around 4:15 p.m., and then had a religious ceremony in the chapel on the grounds of the Chateau at 5:30 p.m.. It was a small ceremony, only around 60 guests, including Martinez’s brother, Vincent, and mother, Rosemarie, were in attendance.
“White marquees were put up, and everyone was very discreet because it was a show business wedding,” a local tells Us of the nuptials, which also made use of several white limousines. “But generally it was pretty down-to-earth.”
Which is not to say it wasn’t a great party. Following the ceremony in the chapel, wedding guests enjoyed a celebratory dinner, followed by a fireworks display and dancing. “They all partied long into the night,” a source tells Us, noting that the music could be heard until around 1 a.m. local time.
This is the third marriage for Berry, 46; she was previously wed to baseball player David Justice (from 1993 to 1997) and to R&B singer Eric Benet (from 2001 to 2005). After her second divorce, the Cloud Atlas actress said she’d never again walk down the aisle. But falling in love with Martinez changed her mind.
