Janet Jackson to Receive the Icon Award at 2018 Billboard Awards + Deliver Her First Televised Performance in 9 Years

Janet Jackson will receive the Icon Award at this year’s Billboard Awards when the ceremony takes place on May 20.

She’ll also take the stage at the show to give fans her first televised performance in nine years.

Past Icon award recipients include Prince, Stevie Wonder, Cher, Neil Diamond, Celine Dion and Jennifer Lopez.

The award comes just before Janet hits the road on her newly-revamped State of the World tour.
