With very little promotion outside of a successful world tour, Janet Jackson managed to score her seventh number one album on the Billboard 200 with Unbreakable.

In its first week of release, Unbreakable earned 116,000 equivalent album units (109,000 in pure album sales) to grab the number one spot.

With the success of Unbreakable, Miss Jackson (’cause we’re nasty) becomes the third act to achieve number one albums in each of the last four decades (the other two are Barbra Streisand and Bruce Springsteen). She also ranks as the third woman with the most number one albums after Barbra with 10 and Madonna with eight.

Last week’s number one album, Fetty Wap, slips to number four, while Tamar Braxton’s fourth studio album Calling All Lovers debuts at number five with 43,000 equivalent album units (38,000 in pure album sales).

Congratulations, Janet!
