Cookie goes boom!
Empire absolutely cannot be stopped.
Since its January bow, Empire has continued to defy television logic by increasing in viewers each episode. In fact, its continued growth is unprecedented.
On January 9, Empire premiered to 9.9 million viewers, and last night nearly 13 million viewers watched Cookie and Lucious Lyon get it on.
Here’s a breakdown:
January 7: 9.9 million viewers
January 14: 10.32 million viewers
January 21: 11.07 million viewers
January 28: 11.36 million viewers
February 4: 11.47 million viewers
February 11: 11.96 million viewers
February 18: 12.94 million viewers (a jump of nearly 1 million viewers from the week before)
Empire also continues to soar every week in the adults 18 – 49 demo rating, which is most appealing to advertisers. It bowed to a 3.8 on January 7 and notched a 5.1 last night.
Incredible.
