Bravo’s The Real Housewives of Atlanta returned on Sunday night, and for the first time — without NeNe Leakes.
Now, we were entertained enough without the last remaining ‘original housewife’ thanks to Sheree and Kenya’s antics, but viewership hit a bit of a decline.
Season 7 premiered with a massiveĀ 3.8 million viewers while this Sunday’s season 8 premiere brought in a respectable 2.968 million viewers. It’s still solid, but it’s just not what it used to be — especially considering RHOA averaged about 3.5 million viewers per week last season.
You may have heard, but NeNe’s headed back to the show for a few episodes and we’ll certainly be interested to see if viewership spikes once the “Queen Bee” herself gets back in the mix!
