Production on FX’s latest Ryan Murphy production, ‘Impeachment: American Crime Story’ has been paused due to the coronavirus pandemic.

A source confirmed to Page Six on Friday that production paused earlier in the week due to a positive case of COVID-19. The case was caught during a routine screening in adherence with safety protocols.

The show is on hiatus for the holiday and will resume next month, the source added.

The series, based on a book by disgraced journalist Jeffrey Toobin, delves into President Clinton’s dalliance with White House intern Monica Lewinsky and the surrounding scandal and impeachment proceedings.

Just last week, Sarah Paulson, who plays Linda Tripp, and Beanie Feldstein, who is playing Monica Lewinsky, were snapped filming while wearing masks and protective gear.

Billy Eichner, Clive Owen, and Annaleigh Ashford are also slated to star in the Ryan Murphy production.

A spokesperson for FX declined to comment.

With COVID-19 rates skyrocketing all over the country, we expect to see more stories like this until the vaccine is widely-adopted.
