Joe Budden finally got a response from Drake…sort of.
If you, like us, haven’t been paying any attention to Joe Budden, then you might be wondering where all this started.
Following the release of Drake’s ‘Views,’ Joe went on record and said that Drizzy sounded ‘uninspired’ and that his lyrics were stagnant. “I said the other day on this podcast. I miss the Drake that starts the waves, not hops on other waves,” Budden said. “And I’ll say it again: I miss the Drake that pushes the f—in’ agenda, not lets the agenda push him.”
Not too long after that, French Montana released a snippet of “No Shopping,” in which Drake can be heard rapping, “Pump, pump it up” — which is notably the hook from Budden’s biggest (only) hit.

Joe Budden also feels like there were several subliminal shots in Drake’s “4pm in Calabasas” that were directed at him — which prompted him to release a diss track, “Making a Murderer Pt. 1.”
Drake didn’t respond.
Joe released ANOTHER diss track called “Wake.”
Drake didn’t respond.
Joe took to Twitter to call Drake out.
Drake didn’t respond.
Which brings us to this — after weeks of waiting, French Montana finally released the full version of “No Shopping,” in which Drake takes a subtle jab at Joe Budden…without even mentioning his name.
