Idris Elba and his wife are doing well after being diagnosed with the coronavirus last week.
He took to social media to update his fans, saying that his doctor told him that after quarantine “we will be immune for a certain time since our antibodies fought this.”
Idris says he and wife, Sabrina, are still under quarantine and feel fine with no major health issues. He told fans the day he got tested he had body aches and a headache.
According to health experts, his immunity claims are true. The FDA approved a treatment this week using plasma from patients who have recovered from severe COVID-19 cases.
Even if Idris’ immunity is temporary, doctors say that those who have tested positive once will likely have a milder case if they catch the virus again.
