Idris Elba Perfectly Responds to 007 Author’s ‘Too Street’ Remark [Photo]

Although English novelist Anthony Horowitz has since apologized for his poorly worded remark about Idris Elba (he referred to the actor as “too street” to play James Bond in an interview with The Daily Mail), Idris took time from his busy schedule to brilliantly respond.

In case you missed it, Anthony said the following about Idris to The Daily Mail:

“Idris Elba is a terrific actor, but I can think of other black actors who would do it better. For me, Idris Elba is a bit too rough to play the part. It’s not a colour issue. I think he is probably a bit too ‘street’ for Bond. Is it a question of being suave? Yeah.”

After causing an uproar, Anthony issued the following apology on Twitter:

Although we know Anthony meant no harm (he even suggested a black actor he felt would be better suited for the role), we love Idris’ response.
