Halle Berry says that she’s tired of hearing people in Hollywood complain about issues, including the Black Lives Matter movement, and not doing anything to create change.

The Oscar-winning actress said, “In my world, I get so tired of people complaining about, ‘Oh black lives matter,’ and they pontificate and pontificate about it, and I say, ‘Well, what are you doing about that? It may not seem significant to you, but that’s how we start. Have you called your local politicians, have you written a letter?’”
Appearing at the Cannes Lions Girls’ Lounge in conversation with founder Shelley Zalis, Berry continued, “When they say they’ve done nothing, I say, ‘Well, don’t talk to me … because you are part of the problem, because you are sitting here spewing negativity and complaining.’”
She added, “I don’t have time for people who talk the talk but don’t walk the walk.”
Berry has been taking meetings at Cannes Lions with top tech firms and marketers as she prepares to relaunch her website and social forum titled Hallewood.
The actress was spotted meeting with Snapchat executives Wednesday to discuss Hallewood, which launches next month, and on which she plans to post stories and videos, connect directly with her fans, and start a discussion on a wide variety of topics.
Halle may have a point. It’s easy to complain about injustices happening in the world without working to find a solution. Thoughts?
