Ever since NWA exploded in the late eighties, putting Compton on the pop culture map, the city has become a hotbed for rap talent. During a recent chat on Clubhouse, The Game made a bold assertion that has plenty of folks questioning whether he might be right. “Can’t nobody in Compton out rap Game,” he boasted.

Hold up, Compton. The Game has something to say. The rapper was speaking with KXNG Crooked and Glasses Malone on Clubhouse and stated he was the best rapper to come out of the city, including Kendrick Lamar.
“Can’t nobody in Compton outrap Game,” Game said according to HipHopDX. “Can’t nobody in Compton out-rap me. Kendrick my nigga. Kendrick doing his shit. I love that nigga to death. I flew past Kendrick when that nigga was on foot in a Range Rover and showed him how to do this shit. Don’t play. Don’t play with Game name. Compton, nigga. Hardest n-gga in Compton, rapping, lyricist, me. Any nigga that say any different, I’ll body him and any nigga he fuck with.”
The Game would double back later and stated that he was a bit under the influence, however, he did not backtrack on his statements.
Last month, The Game’s manager, Wack 100, hinted at the end of the rapper’s retirement and stated he is planning a 30 track album.
“Do I personally think he’s going to retire? I think not. I don’t think he knows how to,” Wack 100 said. “You know he’s got something for the people because he just felt like they needed it. It’s 30 Game joints–it’s kinda going to be like a Game playlist type set up. We’re calling it 30 for 30.”
The Game previously alluded to his 2019 effort Born 2 Rap was his curtain call in rap. But what rappers really stay retired?
