Yesterday marked the kickoff of the NBA playoffs and the first post-season game of the year took place between the Toronto Raptors and Brooklyn Nets.
Toronto’s own Drake was courtside to watch the action and support his hometown team.
During a quick sideline interview, Drizzy explained why he thinks the Raptors will win the entire series while taking a shot at Jay Z (who at one point owned the Nets) in the process.
“It’s a red-hot revival in here tonight,” said Drake during the interview. “It’s electric. It’s the uprising, man. KG [Kevin Garnett] is frustrated, the young boys are out tonight. Who knows? You know, this is the people’s team, the Toronto Raptors. Jay Z is somewhere eating a fondue plate.”
We’re sure Drake’s comments were made in good fun — but there’s a chance he could have been right. It’s not the first time Drake’s criticized Jay for flaunting his opulent lifestyle.
