BET held a press conference to announce the nominees and performers slated for the 2013 BET Awards. The show will take place live on June 30th from L.A.’s Nokia Theater.
Leading with the most nominations is Drake, who earned himself an impressive 12 nods — including three in the ‘video of the year’ category. His hit, “Started from the Bottom,” will compete with his collaborations with 2 Chainz (“No Lie”) and A$AP Rocky (“Problems”). The ‘video of the year’ award has a total 10 nominees, including Justin Timberlake’s “Suit & Tie,” Kanye West’s “Mercy,” “Adorn” by Miguel and Macklemore & Ryan Lewis’ “Thrift Shop.”
