In an interview with TV One’s ‘Sister Circle,’ Andrea Kelly, the ex-wife of singer R. Kelly, tearfully recounts the moment she realized she was a victim of domestic violence.
According to Andrea, one day she was steps away from jumping to her death from a hotel balcony when she says God spoke to her. Through tears, she says that she opened up her computer and typed ‘domestic violence’ and began searching.
“I’m not that girl,” she said. “I’m not the teeth missing. I’m not the broken bones girl.” But Andrea stumbled upon a questionnaire that led her to the realization.
“They ask has your abuser ever done…and of the 17 [questions], Robert had done 15 to me.”
