After the recent Sandy Hook Elementary School shooting, our nation is still healing trying to figure out how to move on after this tragedy.
Today, a new PSA was posted online featuring a lot of the celebrities we love and adore, but instead of promoting a new album or film, they were all coming together to help end gun violence.
The celebs came together in support of Demand A Plan, an initiative to stop future tragedies like the one in Newtown from happening again.
This is a bit of what the organization aims to do:
- Require a criminal background check for every gun sold in America
- Ban assault weapons and high-capacity magazines
- Make gun trafficking a federal crime, including real penalties for “straw purchasers”
