CBS is currently developing Training Day as a television drama series.
According to Entertainment Weekly, the story is set in today’s Los Angeles Police Department 15 years after the film.
If you recall, Denzel Washington won his second Academy Award for his role as dirty cop Alonzo Harris.

However, don’t count on Denzel to star in the series; his character was brutally killed at the end of the 2001 crime thriller.
Antoine Fuqua will direct the pilot episode; former LAPD detective Will Beall will pen the script; and Jerry Bruckheimer and Jonathan Littman will serve as executive producers.
