Amazing week for Alicia Keys, on Wednesday the 15-time Grammy-winning songstress announced she’ll be releasing her new book ‘More Myself‘ through Oprah’s imprint, this is Oprah’s debut title, “An Oprah Book” through Flatiron Books. The Grammy winning songstress released a YouTube video with Queen O revealing the cover.
On Instagram Keys wrote, “Thank you, Ms. O for the opportunity to share my truth as the first release of your new book imprint. Our journeys are beautifully woven together and our messages are similar: now, more than ever, it’s time to continue to honor ourselves by walking more unrelentingly in our authenticity, no matter what! Thank you for challenging me to become MORE MYSELF.”
More Myself is described as, “part autobiography, part narrative documentary,” this is a 360-degree perspective on Alicia’s path, from her girlhood in Hell’s Kitchen and Harlem to the process of self-discovery she’s still navigating. More Myself will be released on November 5.
At the iHeart Radio Awards on Thursday, the “Superwoman” singer was awarded the Innovator Award. While accepting her award she said, “I’m finally more myself, than I’ve ever been and even though it’s a constant process I encourage you to continue to find the power and the beauty and the unique story in your own journey.”
She stole the show with a heartwarming performance of her new single, “Raise A Man” with eight-year-old son Egypt.
