Tony Award winner Anika Noni Rose is joining the cast of the Starz drama series Power for its upcoming third season.
According to Deadline, the acclaimed actress will portray LaVerne Thomas, a street-smart cop who hails from the same neighborhood as Ghost (played by Omari Hardwick) and Tommy (played by Joseph Sikora). Anika will appear in a multi-episode arc.
Power was renewed for a ten-episode third season after its season two premiere garnered record-setting ratings for Starz.
Power, which will likely return for its third season in summer 2016, is executive produced by rapper 50 Cent.
