Here’s another one, Amelia Hamlin is being accused of blackfishing. Yesterday, Amelia posted a picture of herself looking more than a few shades darker than her usual complexion, along with her wearing large hoop earrings and her hair in a long braid.

Amelia Hamlin is saying arrivederci to haters accusing her of darkening her skin tone in a new Instagram photo.
Hamlin, the 19-year-old daughter of Lisa Rinna and Harry Hamlin, took to her Instagram Story to explain that her “Italian heritage” makes it easy for her to tan.
“im receiving a lot of comments in regards to my latest photo. I am being told that I am ‘black fishing’ – thank you all for educating me on this topic,” she began, adding, “I recently went on vacation in the sun, and with my Italian heritage I tan very easily.”
“Blackfishing” refers to a person using makeup, self-tanner or filters to alter his or her appearance to appear black or racially ambiguous.
“There is no self tanner involved. Or intention of looking darker than my own natural skin color,” she continued. “I had a lot of fun creating this look with no malice intention or offense.”
Hamlin did not delete the photo, but did turn off the comments on the post, which she captioned, “whiplash got me like……”
Hamlin recently traveled with boyfriend Scott Disick to Miami, where she was spotted spending time with his children and enjoying time on the beach.
Disick, 37, and Hamlin have been linked since late 2020 after being spotted out to dinner and taking strolls on the beach together. After getting backlash for their 18-year age gap, Hamlin took to social media to complain about “weird and judgmental people.”
After months of hinting at their relationship, the couple confirmed their romance on Valentine’s Day.
The “Keeping Up With the Kardashians” star — who shares three kids with Kourtney Kardashian — posted multiple pics of Hamlin on Instagram during a romantic dinner, while she posted a photo of him driving a boat.
