Adele denied that she and Rich Paul are headed for holy matrimony, but that didn’t stop her from singing his praises.
“I’m not engaged. I just love high-end jewelry, boy!” the “Easy on Me” singer clarified in her September 2022 Elle cover story after sparking engagement rumors in February by wearing a massive diamond ring to the Brit Awards.
Earlier in the interview, Adele, 34, dodged questions about whether she and Paul, 40, were en route to tying the knot.
“I’m not married. I’m not married!” she offered in a cheeky response after being asked about a proposal before proceeding to sing, “I’m just in loooove! I’m happy as I’ll ever be. I might as well be married.”
The Grammy winner did, however, confirm that she “absolutely” wants to remarry and plans on expanding her family one day with the sports agent.
“I’ve never been in love like this. I’m obsessed with him,” she said of Paul, adding, “I definitely want more kids. I’m a homemaker and I’m a matriarch, and a stable life helps me with my music.”
But for now, Adele said she is mainly focused on her Las Vegas residency, which she rescheduled in July after postponing it in January.
“All I got in my brain is Vegas,” she told the magazine.
The “Rolling in the Deep” singer previously skirted questions about whether she and Paul were engaged, saying on “The Graham Norton Show” in February, “If I was [engaged], would I ever tell anyone if I was or wasn’t?”
While things appear to be going strong now, Adele’s relationship with Paul seemed to go through a rocky patch earlier this year.
Sources told Page Six in January that the English songstress “sobbed and shouted” at her beau over the phone while preparing for her Vegas residency, and Paul spent Adele’s birthday in May partying in Miami with his client LeBron James.
Fortunately for the couple, things seem like they’re on the up and up again. While Adele denied they’re engaged, they did move in to a $58 million Beverly Hills mansion this year.
The “Hello” singer confirmed her relationship with Paul in July 2021 after finalizing her divorce from Simon Konecki, with whom she shares 9-year-old son Angelo.
