It’s beyond safe to say that Adele’s seen massive success with her latest album, 25.

It seems only logical that in today’s society one can’t have success without just a little bit of scandal — and now Adele’s being accused of plagiarism.

Some people are suggesting that Adele’s 25 cut “Million Years Ago” borrows too heavily from Turkish singer Ahmet Kaya’s 1985 record “Acilara Tutunmak (Clinging to Pain).”

A number of Turkish Twitter users have attempted to call Adele out, with one user posting a picture of a Turkish flag and labeling Adele “a thief.”

The tweet reads “Adele has stolen a song from us”.

Kaya’s wife, Gulten Kaya, has also weighed in on the scandal telling a local newspaper it’s highly unlikely the 27-year-old would do such a thing.

However, if she consciously did it, then it would be theft,” she said.
