When it’s hard to talk, it’s up to us to listen.”

Months after footage of Ray Rice knocking out his then-fiancée Janay Rice circulated the web, the NFL decided to publicly tackle domestic violence.

In a powerful commercial, which is based on an actual 911 call and aired during last night’s Super Bowl, a woman is heard asking an operator can she order pizza. Initially the operator is confused, but after realizing that the woman is subtly asking for help to quell a domestic dispute, he sends help.

Throughout the commercial, images showing the results of violence (such as a destroyed wall and scattered objects) are shown.
