All About The Tea broke the story, the reality star has filed a complaint against Bravo, show producers, FremantleMedia North America and Purveyors of Pop.

The outlet states, “An intellectual property and discrimination complaint has been filed by Mariah Huq and her attorney Bryan Freedman against NBC/Bravo/Fremantle and Purveyors of Pop.”

The reported lawsuit is not surprising given Mariah has been vocal about her issues with Bravo for months. She is credited as the creator of the reality show and has an executive producer credit. Earlier this year, she told fans she had yet to receive her contract for another season.

According to All About The Tea, Mariah’s suit accuses the network and producers of “breach of contract, breach of joint venture agreement, failure to prevent harassment and retaliation.”

She says she endured harassment and discrimination while working on “Married to Medicine.” The reality star reportedly notified the production company of the alleged harassment but nothing was done about it.

In a legal letter, Mariah’s lawyer said, “Huq is the first African-American woman to create a television franchise for Bravo.” He points out she has become a mainstay on Bravo for seven years.

Mariah believes the producers have been trying to downplay her role in creating the show. She says they have “exploited and disenfranchised” her. The reality star is moving forward with action against the network.

The “Married to Medicine” star believes she is owed not only credit but royalties from the hit franchise she helped create for Bravo. She feels they have cut her out of the deals and screw her over.

Prior to firing off her legal letter, Mariah showed “Real Housewives of Atlanta” star NeNe Leakes support for her fight against Bravo and the show producers.

Things just don’t add up, but good luck Mariah.
