10-Year-Old Boy Saves His Little Brother from Drowning — All Thanks to Dwayne ‘The Rock’ Johnson

10-year-old Jacob O’Connor is a life-saver thanks to a little help from Dwayne ‘The Rock’ Johnson’s 2015 blockbuster ‘San Andreas.’

He credits the film for teaching him the technique he used to save his 2-year-old brother from drowning in a swimming pool.

Jacob told WXYZ that he was sitting on his grandmother’s couch a few weeks ago watching TV when he noticed the door leading to the backyard was open.

Jacob said he went to investigate and found his little brother, Dylan, face down in the water.

Jacob immediately sprang into action, pulling his brother out the pool and starting chest compressions.

When asked how he knew what to do, Jacob credited a scene in “San Andreas,” where Dwayne “The Rock” Johnson’s character performs CPR on his daughter to save her following an earthquake.

“There was an earthquake, then it caused a tsunami and then there was a daughter that was drowning and he had to get her out and he did the same thing,” Jacob explained.

After performing the compressions on his little brother Jacob ran to get his grandmother, who had been in another room getting ready to put Dylan down for a nap. The boys’ mother was at work.

Ellen Vial said she called 911 and then called the children’s mom, Christa.

“The first few hours at the hospital were the worst because they weren’t sure if he was going to fully recover,” Christa told WXYZ

Dylan, however, did recover. After spending only a day in the hospital the toddler was released and is said to be doing well.

The Rock caught wind of Jacob’s heroic feat and gave him a shoutout on social media.
