Tank sang the National Anthem on Sunday prior to the commencement of a charity basketball game.
Before he began, Tank addressed the audience:
“I understand everybody is exercising their right to stand or to sit. And to exercise my right to freedom of justice, but in the wake of 9/11, please understand and respect the fact that real men, women, and children lost their lives for this very thing we are able to stand for today. For this very place that we’re in, for this interaction, for this moment.”
Despite the history of Chris and Tank’s friendship, Chris Brown refused to stand.
