Don’t you just love our First Family? FLOTUS Michelle Obama finally started her own Instagram account. Her first upload is the above picture showing Mrs. Obama posing with students at the Martin Luther King all-girls middle school in Dakar, Senegal.
It’s nice to see the administration keeping up with the trends.
In other news, Sasha Obama was spotted showing her support for marriage equality yesterday, the same day the Supreme Court struck down DOMA, by sporting a rainbow tote.
When announcing in May 2012 that he had had a change of heart on the issue, he said: ‘There have been times where Michelle and I have been sitting around the dinner table and we’re talking about their friends and their parents, and Malia and Sasha, it wouldn’t dawn on them that somehow their friends’ parents would be treated differently. He’s often credited Sasha and Malia for changing his perspective on marriage equality.
Do you think her decision to sport the bag on such a historic day coincidence? We don’t.
