Fresh on the heels of her turn as Whitney Houston in the Lifetime biopic Whitney, Yaya DaCosta has been cast as the lead in Chicago Med, NBC’s spin-off to its moderate hit show Chicago Fire.
According to reports, the former America’s Next Top Model contestant will portray Maggie Seaver, an attractive nurse who begins dating one of Chicago Fire‘s main characters.
Yaya’s character will first appear in episode 19 of Chicago Fire‘s current season.
