Ariana Grande celebrated the success of her new single “7 Rings” by getting a new tattoo — but maybe she just should’ve gone out to dinner instead.
The singer showed off the new tattoo via Instagram and it’s on the palm of her hand. The Japanese characters are SUPPOSED to read “7 rings,” but unfortunately the tattoo artist made a mistake (or didn’t know any better) and the tattoo actually reads “shichirin” — which translates to Japanese-style BBQ grill.
Her fans quickly pointed this out and she deleted the photo from her Instagram.
Ariana Grande’s new tattoo “??” means Japanese style bbq grill, not 7 rings. ? If you want to know about ??, just google “SHICHIRIN” pic.twitter.com/HuQM2EwI62

Ariana later admitted to the mistake in a since-deleted tweet, acknowledging the left-out characters.
“It hurt like f**k n still looks tight. I wouldn’t have lasted one more symbol lmao. But this spot also peels a ton and won’t last so if I miss it enough I’ll suffer thru the whole thing next time. Also…. huge fan of tiny bbq grills.”
Well…alright, Ariana.
