In the wake of the backlash Wendy Williams faced for telling men to “stop wearing our skirts and our heels” during an episode of her talk show, she’s offering a tearful apology.
In a video message posted to social media, Wendy said, “I deeply apologize,” after fans blasted her for disturbing comments she made during a take on “Galentine’s Day,” a pre-Valentine’s celebration of female friendship.
“I’m 55 years old and maybe I sounded like your auntie, your mother, your big sister or somebody out of touch,” Wendy said in her apology video. “I’m not out of touch except for perhaps yesterday by saying what I said. I deeply apologize and I deeply appreciate the support that I get from the community. I will do better.”
