According to reports, The Weeknd may have been snubbed because he chose to perform at the Super Bowl.
The Weeknd’s team was in talks for him to perform at the Grammys and they gave him a choice — either the Grammys or the Super Bowl. They worked it out to where he could perform at both, but neither side walked away particularly happy.
The Weeknd’s camp believes that’s why he didn’t get any nominations this year.
Both the Super Bowl and the Grammys are set to air on CBS.
