The Lifetime Original Movie “Whitney,” starring Yaya DaCosta, makes its world premiere this Saturday, January 17, 2015, at 8pm ET/PT.
In the film, Whitney Houston’s legendary vocal performances were all sung by Deborah Cox — since production wasn’t allowed to use any of Whitney’s vocals.
Some of Whitney’s songs to be featured in the film include, “The Greatest Love of All,” “I’m Your Baby Tonight,” “I’m Every Woman” and “I Will Always Love You” as well as Bobby Brown’s “Every Little Step.”
While we’re concerned with the story, the real question is whether or not Whitney’s powerhouse presence will be accurately represented on film.
Thanks to a sneak peek from Lifetime, we don’t have to wait until this Saturday to judge.
