There are few things that make us smile more than random acts of kindness.
In a video clip circulating on Facebook, a student generously gives a brand new pair of Nike LeBron sneakers his classmate who had been teased and bullied over the shoes he had been wearing.
“Here you go, I gave you a pair of shoes,” said the kid. “Since you felt bad yesterday about how everyone was making fun of your shoes, there you go.”
The two young men shared a hug while a woman — presumably their teacher — could barely contain her emotions in the background.
In the post’s comments, a woman claiming to be the boy’s mother chimed in with more details.
“He came home so upset that the kids at school wouldn’t stop picking on this kid for his shoes, he begged me to get him shoes. Begged. I could barely buy him shoes but I had extra money that week so we got him shoes and he brought them in for him the next day,” she wrote.
As the clip spread, it earned recognition from the man behind the shoes — Mr. LeBron James.
“You’re going to great places kid for your generosity towards him,” LeBron wrote on Instagram along with the video of the exchange. “True leadership right there!”

This isn’t the first time a kid decided to give a bullied classmate a pair of shoes — but the more generosity there is in this world, the better.
