Amber Rose was a guest on a recent episode of Tyrese and Rev. Run’s OWN talk show, It’s Not You, It’s Men, and she made the definition of consent crystal-clear for any man who might still be confused.
During the show, Tyrese compared a man trying to grab a woman dressed in a ‘sexy’ outfit with someone wanting to play basketball with someone wearing a basketball jersey.
Amber Rose didn’t have time for the foolery.
“That’s not the same thing Tyrese, ya’ll know that,” Amber said, before breaking it down that a woman can be butt-naked and STILL not give consent.
“If I’m laying down with a man, butt naked, and his condom is on, and I say, ‘you know what, no, I don’t wanna do this. I changed my mind,’ that means no. That means fucking no, that’s it.
“It doesn’t matter how far I take it or what I have on. When I say no, it means no.”
Rev. Run chimed in with his thoughts, saying, “I’ve heard a quote that said ‘dress how you want to be addressed,’ and it’s just, there’s some validity to that.”
Amber wasn’t here for that response either.
“Oh, boo! That’s not realistic. Stop it,” she said.
“If I want to wear a short skirt or a tank top, and I’m at the club and I’m having fun with my friends and I feel sexy, I’m not DTF. I didn’t come here to have sex. I didn’t come here to hook up with nobody. I came out here with my girls and I just feel pretty. I’m not ‘asking for’ nothing.”
The topic at hand got Amber a little heated, but she clarified that her frustration is with society — not them.
“I’m not mad at y’all,” she tells them. “That’s how society raised all of us.”
