Family of slain St. Louis teen Michael Brown have hired Benjamin Crump, the same Florida civil rights attorney who currently represents Trayvon Martin’s family.
Crump’s firm, Parks & Crump, LLC made the announcement overnight via a press release.

The attorney is set to take part in a press conference, along with Brown’s family on Monday afternoon.
Crump represented the family of Trayvon Martin, who was killed in 2012 in Sanford, Florida. The shooter, George Zimmerman, was eventually acquitted on charges of second-degree murder and manslaughter.
It should be noted that Crump assisted the Martin family in handling national media and other interests, but was not directly involved in the State’s case against Zimmerman.
