Christina Grimmie has passed away after being shot at her concert on Friday (June 10) in Orlando, Fla.

The 22-year-old singer and former The Voice contestant died due to complications from her injuries, her rep confirmed in the below statement.

“It is with a heavy heart that we can confirm that Christina has passed and went home to be with the Lord. She was shot at her show in Orlando and, unfortunately, didn’t survive the gun shot wounds,” the rep wrote. “We ask at this time that you respect the privacy of her family and friends in their time of mourning. If you’d like to give back to Christina’s family in her memory, please consider donating to the families GoFundMe page in their time of need.”

According to reports, Christina was in the middle of her post-concert meet and greet when witnesses reported hearing four to five gunshots at The Plaza Live, which is one of Orlando’s oldest theaters. It happened less than an hour after the end of the show.

“The show ended at approximately 10 o’clock. After that they were selling merchandise and signing autographs,” police spokeswoman Sgt. Wanda Miglio said. “We know that the suspect walked up and shot Christina. At that point we know that her brother tackled the suspect and that’s when the suspect shot himself.”

At this time there’s no motive for Christina’s killing. So sad.
