Kim Kardashian’s longtime personal bodyguard reportedly filed for bankruptcy for his security company less than three months before the Kim’s robbery in Paris.
Pascal Duvier submitted the insolvency paperwork for his ProtectSecurity firm on July 22 after the company dipped more than $1.2 million in debt, the DailyMail.com is reporting.
“There is so much debt,” the insolvency lawyer overseeing the case told the Mail. “There are many claimants. I cannot say the exact number. Lots.”
The 43-year-old Duvier — who made the apparent filing in his native Heidelberg, Germany — has run ProtectSecurity for 19 years, according to the report.
The company has represented a who’s who of clients that includes Justin Timberlake, Katy Perry, Christina Aguilera and Lana Del Rey.
Duvier — who stands at 6-foot-4 — was not present last Sunday when Kardashian was robbed at gunpoint by five intruders inside her Paris private residence bedroom, as he was instead providing protection for the reality star’s sisters Kendall Jenner and Kourtney Kardashian at a nearby party.
Kardashian, who was stripped of more than $10 million worth of jewelry in the harrowing encounter, doesn’t blame Duvier for not being by her side at the time and felt safe staying by herself, Us Weekly reported.
Duiver, meanwhile, called the robbery “one the most sickening things I have seen or heard” in a post on a personal blog, according to the Mail.
“We have tips and leads and we will find you,” he said. “That I promise you … you messed with the wrong one.”
The hulking bodyguard has reportedly worked with Kardashian since 2014.
Duvier came to Kardashian’s defense last week when infamous A-lister assailant Vitalii Sediuk rushed up behind the reality star before a Paris Fashion Week event and tried to kiss her on the backside.
The bodyguard quickly slammed Sediuk to the ground as Kardashian made her way inside.
For now, Kim & co. don’t think Pascal had anything to do with the robbery. We wouldn’t be surprised if he did.
