Solange is practicing a little self-care by removing herself from the often-negative Twitter news cycle.
The singer deleted her Twitter account on Tuesday after showing support for Takiyah Thompson, the 22-year-old woman arrested for her involvement in the removal of a Confederate monument in Durham, NC.

As it stands now, Takiyah has been charged with several felonies — including participation in a riot with property damage in excess of $1,500, and inciting others to riot where property damage exceeds $1,500.
She was also charged with damage to real property and disorderly conduct by injury to a statue, which are misdemeanor charges.
After her Twitter departure, Solange took to Instagram to express her frustrations with the world.
