Less than 24 hours after husband René Angelil passed away after losing his battle with cancer, Celine Dion’s brother Daniel is also on the verge of losing his.
Celine’s sister Claudette broke the news earlier today.

Speaking with the Journal of Montreal, Claudette tearfully said, “It’s very painful. It’s a matter of days or hours. It looks a lot like René, he had cancer of the throat, tongue and brain. Our family is very experienced.”
Dion’s rep confirmed the news about Daniel to Entertainment Tonight.
Celine’s manager and husband passed away at age 73 after years of suffering from cancer. The couple wed in 1994 and have three young sons together.
“I’m trying really hard to show my children that sickness and things happen in life. You cannot be crying and be depressed and consistently talk about, ‘Oh my God,’” Dion told Us Weekly in August 2015 after she returned to her Las Vegas residency show.
