22-year-old Timothy Roshun Smith Jr. was shot along with his daughter when a loaded gun went off inside a diaper bag.
We’re sad to report he died from his injuries Monday afternoon at UAB Hospital.
Smith was changing his daughter’s diaper in the backseat of a car outside a Chuck E. Cheese Saturday when the gun went off from inside the diaper bag.
A single bullet hit Smith in the chest and the young girl in the leg.
The girl was taken to Children’s of Alabama with non-life threatening injuries, Vestavia Hills Fire Department Capt. Ryan Farrell previously told the Daily News.
She’s expected to make a full recovery.
