So Sad: 28-Year-Old Model Left Brain Dead After Getting Shot in the Neck While Driving to Work in Georgia

Kelsey Quayle, a 28-year-old model, was left brain dead after being shot in the neck while driving to work in Georgia on Monday morning.

She was headed to her job at a dentist’s office in the city of Riverdale when she was struck by the bullet.

The random shooting caused a three-vehicle crash, but the other drivers managed to walk away with minor injuries.

“I just want to know who did this,” sister Kayleigh Quayle told Fox 5. “It’s ridiculous. She didn’t deserve this.”

Relatives told the station that the bullet entered her neck and severed her spinal cord at the base of her brain, causing major brain damage.

A relative wrote on a fundraising page that doctors say Kelsey “most likely died when the bullet hit her instantly.”

“She always could make anyone laugh,” the relative wrote. “She’s kind, loving, sweet, and so caring towards others. She was an amazing daughter, sister, friend and girlfriend. She shouldn’t have passed so early on in life but she is now in peace and in heaven.”

Doctors did not even know Kelsey had been shot until she was taken to the hospital after the crash. Clayton County cops are investigating the shooting.

“Right now a theory would be road rage, or maybe just a cross-fire maybe but we just have so many unanswered questions,” Kayleigh Quayle told Fox 5.

Anyone with information on the shooting should contact Crime Stoppers at (404) 577-TIPS.

So sad.
