Fans have been calling for YEARS for MTV to give Missy Elliott the Michael Jackson Video Vanguard Award at the VMAs…but it hasn’t happened yet.
On Wednesday morning, reports began to circulate announcing that MTV finally did the right thing and nominated Missy for the honor — but they’re false.
Missy took to Twitter to let everyone know that MTV has NOT reached out.
