Would you have liked to see Rosie O’Donnell on Netflix’s hit show Orange is the New Black?
It could have happened, and it almost did.
During the red carpet premiere for OITNB, Rosie couldn’t hide her excitement for the show.
“Oh my God, oh my God, they’re all here,” said Rosie at Thursday’s New York premiere. “This is crazy, this is the best female ensemble ever on TV!” Rosie explained that she went to the premiere because she was invited by her friend Natasha Lyonne, who portrays sassy prison inmate Nicky Nichols.
When asked whether she’d been asked to guest star or do a cameo on the show, Rosie said unfortunately that hasn’t happened yet. “I begged. After I saw the first two episodes, I’m like ‘Who do I call?’ Let me get knifed in a shower — someone give me a part on this.”
Rosie would have made a pretty kick-ass inmate.
All 13 episodes of Season 2 of Orange Is the New Black will premiere Friday, June 6 at 12:01 a.m. PT on Netflix.
