Caitlyn Jenner  has been making headlines ever since her stunning Vanity Fair cover was revealed on Monday. 

Many have wondered where Caitlyn, formerly known as Bruce, got inspiration for her name — and now we know.

A source revealed to People that she’s had the name since childhood.

“The name is what he always loved when he thought about this [female] part of his life.”

It’s also understood that Caitlyn specifically chose to spell her name with a ‘C’ versus a ‘K’ in an effort to separate her identity from the Kardashians.
