Can you believe it’s been 13 years since Legally Blonde 2?
Rumors have been swirling about a possible third installment for years, but during a recent appearance on Lifetime’s “Fashionably Late,” Reese Witherspoon told host Rachel Zoe that it might finally be time for Elle Woods to make a comeback.
“A lot of writers, over the years have come up with different ideas for it,” she said. “I actually think it’s kind of great right now because we’re talking about women in politics and how important that is to get more women. And I think it’d be kind of a cool thing to have her be a Supreme Court justice or someone who runs for office.”
It’s been 13 years since “Legally Blonde 2: Red White and Blonde,” but Witherspoon seemed to hint it was time to check back in.
“I think we’re ready to see Elle and see what she’s up to lately,” she teased. “That said, I don’t know. Call MGM! I have no idea.”
