Ray Rice Breaks His Silence: ‘I have to be there for my wife and my family right now’

Earlier today, former Baltimore Ravens running back Ray Rice made his first official statement after footage of him violently punching his then-fiancé surfaced and he was subsequently suspended from the NFL.

He told ESPN’s Josina Anderson:

“I have to be strong with my wife. She is so strong. We are in good spirits. We have a lot of people praying for us and we’ll continue to support each other. I have to be there for (Janay) and my family right now and work through this.”
