Pay It Forward: Nature Can Be a Helpful Reminder [Video]


When people talk about Los Angeles, you often hear a lot of the same — it’s beautiful, the weather is consistently gorgeous, tons of trendy restaurants and some of the nation’s hottest entertainment venues.

It’s easy to take it all for granted.

After watching the coverage of last week’s winter storm and how it brought the state of Georgia and much of the south to a standstill, we were truly inspired by the random acts of kindness displayed by complete strangers in such a dire time of need — and at such an unexpected one!

It reminded us to be grateful for the small things in life. What might start out as just a regular day could quickly shift into an extraordinary day in the blink of an eye.

It shouldn’t take the threat of a natural disaster or a winter storm to motivate us to help one another. Helping those in need, even if it’s just a small gesture of kindness, could be done each and every day.

Which is why it’s so fitting that Coca-Cola has started the month of February with it’s ‘Pay it Forward’ theme — because sometimes we all need a little reminder.

The Pay It Forward campaign is Coke’s opportunity to give back. The campaign aims to help deserving youth gain the apprentice experience of a lifetime. To nominate a youth to win the Pay It Forward apprenticeship and scholarship, visit

Because a great mentor can make all the difference, Coca-Cola has teamed up with Steve Harvey to give two young people the apprenticeship experience of a lifetime.
